This is a historical auxiliary three-storey building at the “Achilleion” in Corfu with a total surface area of 2,000 m2.
The aim of the contractorship was to reinforce the peripheral brick wall and to complete the building and electromechanical work for the conversion of the building into an international relations center.
During this phase, the demolition of the existing walls’ coating, their stripping using sand blasting and their reinforcing with anchoring the standard mesh with a bolt on the inside of the existing wall and coating it with a strong cement mortar. Also, header and stretcher bonds were constructed to shape the areas according to the architectural study, with all the traditional morphological elements on the outer surfaces of the building (frames, protrusions), outer coating and painting, inner coating, marble basement floors, air conditioning ventilations and the building’s interior staircase.
